Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our facilities. They govern your membership and use of our services.

1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the facilities and services provided by Pulse Form & Fitness ("we", "us", "our") located at Unit 2, Caerbont Enterprise Site, Abercraf, Ystradgynlais, Swansea SA9 1SW.
By joining as a member or using our facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our services.

2. Membership
Membership Types
We offer various membership types including monthly, annual, and day passes. Specific terms for each membership type will be provided at the time of joining.
Membership Requirements
- You must be at least 16 years old to join as a member
- Members under 18 require parental/guardian consent
- Valid identification must be provided at registration
- Medical conditions must be disclosed where relevant
- Emergency contact details must be provided
Membership Cards
All members will be issued with a membership card or fob. This must be presented for access to the facilities. Lost or damaged cards will be replaced for a fee. Members are responsible for their card and should not lend it to others.
3. Payment Terms
Membership Fees
- Membership fees are due in advance as specified in your membership agreement
- We accept cash, card payments, and direct debit
- Fees are subject to change with 30 days' written notice
- No refunds on membership fees unless required by law
Overdue Payments
If membership fees are overdue, your membership may be suspended until payment is received. We reserve the right to terminate membership for non-payment and pursue recovery of outstanding amounts.
Direct Debit
For monthly memberships paid by direct debit, payments will be taken on the same date each month. You must provide 30 days' written notice to cancel a direct debit instruction.
4. Facility Rules
General Conduct
- Treat all members, staff, and visitors with respect
- Follow all posted signs and staff instructions
- No inappropriate language, behaviour, or harassment
- No photography or filming without express permission
- Mobile phones should be used considerately
Equipment Use
- Use equipment properly and safely
- Wipe down equipment after use
- Re-rack weights and return equipment to designated areas
- Time limits may apply during busy periods
- Report any equipment damage immediately
Dress Code
- Appropriate athletic attire must be worn at all times
- Proper athletic footwear is required in gym areas
- Clean attire and personal hygiene expected
- Towels must be used on equipment and in sunbeds
Sunbed Safety
- Follow all sunbed safety guidelines and time limits
- Use protective eyewear at all times
- Certain medical conditions may preclude sunbed use
- Persons under 18 cannot use sunbed facilities
5. Health and Safety
Medical Conditions
You must inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your ability to exercise safely. We recommend consulting your GP before beginning any new exercise programme.
Exercise at Your Own Risk
Physical exercise carries inherent risks. You participate in all activities at your own risk and should exercise within your capabilities. Stop immediately if you feel unwell and seek medical attention if necessary.
First Aid
First aid equipment is available on-site. In case of emergency, call 999 immediately. Please inform staff of any incidents or injuries.
Children
Children under 16 are not permitted in the gym areas. Children aged 16-17 require parental consent and may have restricted access to certain equipment. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
6. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period
Cooling-Off Period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days of joining without giving any reason. Any fees paid will be refunded.
Cancellation by Member
- Monthly memberships: 30 days' written notice required
- Annual memberships: cancellation allowed for serious illness or job relocation
- Written notice must be provided to pulse_ystrad@outlook.com
- No refunds on fees already paid unless required by law
Cancellation by Pulse Form & Fitness
We reserve the right to terminate membership immediately for breach of these terms, non-payment, or behaviour that threatens the safety or enjoyment of other members or staff.
7. Liability and Insurance
Our Liability
We maintain appropriate public liability insurance. However, our liability to you is limited as follows:
- We are liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- We are not liable for injuries resulting from your own actions or negligence
- We are not liable for loss or theft of personal property
- We are not liable for consequential or indirect losses
Your Property
You are responsible for your personal belongings. Lockers are provided for your convenience, but we cannot guarantee their security. We recommend not bringing valuable items to the gym.
Your Liability
You are liable for any damage you cause to our property or equipment through misuse or negligence. You must also ensure that any guests you bring comply with our terms and conditions.
8. Temporary Closures
We may temporarily close the facility or restrict access for:
- Maintenance and repairs
- Health and safety reasons
- Government requirements or emergencies
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
We will provide reasonable notice where possible. Extended closures may result in membership extensions or partial refunds at our discretion.
9. Data Protection
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws. Please read our Privacy Policyfor details on how we handle your personal information.
10. Complaints
We aim to provide excellent service. If you have a complaint, please:
- Speak to a member of staff at the facility
- If unresolved, email pulse_ystrad@outlook.com with full details
- We will investigate and respond within 14 days
- If still unsatisfied, you may refer the matter to relevant dispute resolution services
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the facility after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by English and Welsh law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
